Given that I can wear them with anything.

With a tattered shirt or an avante-garde dress or with vintage lace stockings. With a thrifted skirt or shorts borrowed from mom or with boyfriend’s jeans. With a bikini or tankini or just trying to look classy in a surf suit. With a leather jacket or a baggy hoodie or with a high end blazer. Wearing a couture long gown but feeling drop dead gorgeous and dressed to kill in gold Shanghai’s.

Even just saying it feels lovely.. Shanghai, gold Shanghai’s.

Wear them with frills or no frills. With effort or no effort at all. With lipstick or lip gloss. With a boyfriend or single. With a smile or with a frown.

It really doesn’t matter what clothes I wear them with because they just dazzle, the gold Shanghai’s dazzle and that will make me dazzle. What they are paired with are not important, what’s important is.. is wearing the Shanghai’s in pride, in glee, in satisfaction, in love, in sophistication, and in confidence. And, even though I may not feel proud or gleeful or satisfied or loved or sophisticated or confident everyday—- I will. Just by putting on a pair of gold Shanghai’s, I will be Shanghai-ed and experience the “Shang-high.”

I got included in Avid's November dorwings. He is so nice and one of the few people who uhm.. share my interests. Hello Abid! I look forward to eating vegan cheeseburgers with you. ^^

FYI:

Avid Liongoren : Director Extraordinaire. He specializes in animation, action, quirk & friendship. [I totally ripped that off from his website. Haha!] Watch out for his on-the-works movie “Saving Sally,” it will be A.W.E.S.O.M.E. It’s been long overdue but now that they’ve casted the puhhrtiest actress, the movie is now being magically re-done. I auditioned for the part last June along side professional and amateur actresses when they were looking for a new Sally. Obviously, I didn’t get it but I love the girl who the French producers picked, so it’s all good. I’m super duper excited for the film to come out! Hello Abid, ulit! :)

The world’s flat, each end falls into a pit of darkness. Were all scared of walking off the face of this place we call home. I’m not sure why we call it that, it doesn’t make us feel safe nor at peace. What it is is a hiding place, an aversion of reality, a lie which we all believe.

A red ballloon floats around here. I see it every now and then. It’s a shiny kind of red, not matte-y. If you slide a finger down it, you’ll probably get a sound that goes like kssssssk. No fingerprint residue, no imprint of yourself whatsoever. It just floats around, doing whatever it does. The long ribbon dangles and barely touches the floor. It lingers and picks up on nothing.

It drifts wherever it wants to. Unafraid, no fear of falling off the world. The worst that can happen is it goes over the edge and soar above the universe. It might spin a little Spin, spin, spin. Spinning and gliding through space.

Must be really lonely out there.

There was a boy who fell in love with a girl. It was typical and cliched, nothing out of the ordinary. They held hands and hugged and sat under a tree. He laid on her lap, stared and touched her hair. She smiled, looked up and reached out one hand to the sky.

The sky turned gray, rain started to pour and they both looked for cover. He went this way, she went that way and water soaked through their socks. He hated the rain, she didn’t really and both just got very preoccupied in their thoughts. He mumbled and scrambled and tried to run as fast as he could. She smiled and hummed and walked oh so slowly. He didn’t think of her. She didn’t think of him. There was nothing else but the rain.

They got home and dried their hair. He gulped down his can of beer. She sipped her cup of coffee. He shut the door, she opened the windows and both fell asleep.

Morning came, birds sung and the sun shone bright. He woke up, she slept in and yesterday tasted exactly like pop rocks.
